How do I create a new product?
Go to Inventory > Products and tap the + button. You'll need to fill in the product details across two steps: first the product information (SKU, name, description, categories, image), then the pricing (retail price and consultant price).
Which fields are required when creating a product?
The following fields are required:
- SKU — A unique product identifier (1–50 characters)
- Name — The product name (1–200 characters)
- Categories — Select 1 or 2 product categories
- Retail Price — The customer-facing price (must be 0 or greater)
- Consultant Price — Your purchase price (must be 0 or greater)
The Description (up to 1,000 characters) and product Image are optional but recommended for better organization.
How does the QR code / barcode scanner work for products?
The app offers two scanner modes:
- SKU Scanner (product creation) — Scan a product barcode to automatically capture the SKU. If the product already exists, it will be found instantly. If not, a new product form opens with the scanned SKU pre-filled, saving you from manual entry.
- Full QR Scanner (inventory) — Scan a barcode to find a product and add it to your inventory in one smooth workflow.
Both scanners support torch (flashlight) toggle and camera switching for flexible scanning in any lighting condition.
How do product categories work?
Each product requires 1 to 2 category selections. Categories help organize your product catalog and make it easier to find products when creating orders or browsing inventory. Choose categories that best describe the product type.
